I would not normally have anything political, etc.. on here, but i just wanted to say Thank you to our military for making today possible. Osama Bin Laden is gone and the world is a better place for it. USA!

I wonder if all Photographers have addictions to props???

So, I have a prop addiction. Unfortunately, I do not have the money to feed the addiction so I window shop. At actual stores & of course in this day, on all the Facebook pages for companies who produce photography props (which there are lots). Backgrounds, bowls for babies, hats, clothes, chairs, all of it. I constantly find myself entering all the different giveaways people have to try desperately to win.  I could possibly, sit at my computer all day, looking at props, making "if I had $5000" lists & entering giveaways. I so LOVE my job photographing maternity, children, Newborns and their families and desperately want to better myself, offer more!! My husband asks me when I ask about buying something, "Is it something you NEED?"..to which with dismay I admit, I only WANT it...I don't NEED it. Frustrating. Alright, back to window shopping as it's naptime & raining here at my house.

I love my job!

Seriously... I truly enjoyed teaching, but coming into photography I think I may love it more. It will be hard to make the transition back to teacher only if I ever have to do that. I'm hoping one day I can make photography my career. I'm trying to learn more all the time & better myself. Not quite sure what else I can do (if you have ideas let me know!). I may start using this page to promote sales, etc... thought Facebook does work well for me. Photography, particularly Newborn Photography & Children Photography hold my heart...just past God, my husband and my girls. :-) Thank you to any and all who read this and help me with my addiction to photography...or I guess feed the addiction. :-)

Baby chicks & more!

It has been an exciting week! The ducks didn't come in on time so I had to drive a little further to pick up some baby chicks! The photo shoots when great & I even found the chicks a good home afterwards. I love doing family photography and children photography! Always fun!
